Now I know what I believe inside. Now, it's my time. I'll do what I want 'cause this is my life. here, right now. I'll stand my ground and never back down. I know what I believe inside. Cease the moment. After the incidents on Karate Island, the Tempest Pirates looked towards the skies to see pamphlets floating downwards onto the coliseum floor, as the piece of papers floated firmly into the hands of Oz who was formerly cheering in the audience with the flyer's words sparked curiosity in the eyes of Oz. 'These flyers reveal the truth who to those who seek. All of your answers lie on Cactus Island. 50' 49' 8' N' 33' 43' NNW' The greatest party of all to the new of blood and treasure to the swift of heart.' The bold font flyers proclaimed, the only thing that was even more ominous about these news mediums was the simple fact that the picture of Cactus Island, plastered to the front lied an ominous shot of the island, surrounded by fleets. Looking towards Sorcha who was sitting in the stands with Oz, he pointed at the poster, "I wonder what these numbers on the poster are leading people towards... The look like coordinates of sorts." Oz said, perplexed. One of the spectators in the crowd, shot a pistol off towards the sky, in celebration. A rowdy bunch who had been sitting around, watching the tournaments proceeding. "I knew it!" one of the men exclaimed. "I knew if I hung around this dirt hole the invitation to party with the big boys would arrive!" the man said sticking out his tongue. "Word on the seas is these posters have coordinates to an island known as Cactus Island in the Grandline... Reverse Stream isn't far from here either... I'll take out the top heads in Paradise and make a name for myself!" the man exclaimed hysterically. "Bravo... Tempest." the man said, eyeballing Oz. "My name is Dimitri Ironclad. They call be the skull headed rookie... and I'm pretty big here in the South-" the man rattled on, Oz ignored the man and continued to engage conversation with Sorcha. "I wonder what kind of crews will be gathering on this island, looks like fun. Oi! Rocket! Hull! Tanis! How about we take off to Paradise and check this-" Oz's words were stopped by the flintlock shot wounds which bore a hole in Captain's head. However, the hole was not created by the flintlock but split apart by Oz's Kaze Kaze no Mi splitting. Grinning, Oz reformed his face, glaring the lavender haired pirate in his eyes . "You seem to know a bit about this Cactus Island fiasco... Care to elaborate?" Oz said smirking drawing his blade from his sheath. Hours later, Oz and the Tempest Pirates were on route towards Paradise and Reverse Mountain. The currents were roughing pulling the crew and there makeshift vessel up the stream with Hullgrimm being rapidly pulled along the intense currents, the crew attempts to reach the peak of reverse stream, however, it was a stormy day and much like there namesake, the journey to Cactus Island was proving to be a bumpy one. ▇ Rocket ▇ Volstagg ▇ Tanis Siekert ▇ Sorcha ▇ angryscience ▇ ooc notes: Introduction, we can take our time and cruise through this post Karatee Island section. The little redhead never would have thought that her trip to Karate Island with Tanis would have turned out this way, but there was no complaining coming from her mouth. Sorcha did have to admit that meeting Oz for the first time was quite interesting, but she took a liking to the Captain and soon found herself calling him her own Captain thorough their conversations. When the pamphlets began to fall from the sky, the gunner merely raised her eyebrows and waited for Oz to examine it. "I wonder what these numbers on the poster are leading people towards... The look like coordinates of sorts." the Captain pointed at the poster as he spoke, and the woman could only nod and agree with him. "That seems highly likely, I'm no navigator but they certainly look like coordinates to me." Sorcha's voice was even as she answered her new Captain, though her words were overshadowed by an enthusiastic gunshot from some idiots that had been sitting near them. "I knew it! I knew if I hung around this dirt hole the invitation to party with the big boys would arrive! Word on the seas is these posters have coordinates to an island known as Cactus Island in the Grandline... Reverse Stream isn't far from here either... I'll take out the top heads in Paradise and make a name for myself! Bravo... Tempest. My name is Dimitri Ironclad. They call be the skull headed rookie... and I'm pretty big here in the South-" like Oz, Sorcha tuned out the cocky man's words. This low-life meant nothing to the redhead and she would like nothing more than to feather him right between the eyes. "I wonder what kind of crews will be gathering on this island, looks like fun. Oi! Rocket! Hull! Tanis! How about we take off to Paradise and check this-" a grin had been making it's way to the redhead's face while she listened to Oz, but it quickly vanished when the shot rang out. It had come up in conversation that her new Captain had a Logia Devil Fruit power, but still, the fact that those low-lives had fired upon the man was unacceptable. Before the other pirate could holster his pistol, he was on his back with an arrow hovering between his eyebrows, an angry gunner on the other end. "You seem to know a bit about this Cactus Island fiasco... Care to elaborate?" even as he new Captain drew his sword, Sorcha kept her hand steady while the low-life began to sweat. "You're lucky you have information, now talk lest I lose my grip."It wasn't long after that Sorcha found herself racing about the crew's ship as they rode the currents. The weather didn't help their journey, but really the rain and wind just made things a little more exciting to the little woman. Sorcha still had a grin plastered on her face as she worked the sails, this was what she'd been missing since she lost her family. She loved the thrill of sailing through a storm, there was nothing else like it in the four blues, paradise, or new world. | wc:: 526 | notes:: Eeehee! Rocket lie back against the stands, sitting some 5-10 feet away from his captain Oz and one of the two new additions to the crew; Sorcha. His arms were propped up upon the wooden bleachers, securing his beaten frame into a lounge position. His body was peppered with bandages and gauze wrappings, namely around the head/face area. Upon arriving on Karate Island with the rest of his crew, the young blond had a run-in with a much younger Marine who was out for Rocket’s head. During the ensuing battle, Rocket had been practically helpless against the youngin’s onslaught. He possessed one of the rare-classed Devil Fruits; A Logia. The element his Fruit allowed him to utilize was smoke, which made the battle all the more worthwhile. Unfortunately, Rocket didn’t have the right skillset to combat such a powerful opponent. Sure, without the Fruit Rocket would have wiped the floor with him. The Beast Incarnate managed to even the playing field when a pair of Seastone cuffs were thrown into the mix, slapping them both on himself and Victor. The raging trial of combat that followed brought them to the tournament grounds, where it subsequently ended in Victor’s departure after finding himself up against the rest of the Tempest Pirates. That was the story that lead Rocket to where he was now. Keeping his mind from the two redheaded Tempests to his right, he trailed along the looming thought that had been haunting him for the past couple hours; Why wasn’t he able to do anything against Victor..? What kind of power does it take to be able to compete with a Logia? Another Logia, or a Paramecia perhaps? Was it another ability aside from Devil Fruits entirely? Or was it that he wasn’t strong enough..? If he couldn’t beat Victor now, then how on earth would he be able to save Bella in the future? Surely there will be much more powerful opponents than Victor. More than likely, they’ll possess much more bizarre and monstrous abilities than him as well. Rocket was brought back to reality from within his mental sanctuary by the sound of a gun-shot rattling his eardrums. His emerald hues soon glared daggers into the man that called himself ‘Dimitri Ironclad’. “My name is Dimitri Ironclad, They call me the skull-headed rookie.. And I’m pretty big here in the South Blu-” “Oi, shut the fuck up.” Rocket immediately cut the man off. He lifted his right him in the air, bringing his left fist to his right pinky. He acted as if he were cranking a winch of some sort, as when he rotated his fist around multiple times, his middle finger shot straight up. Soon after, he returned to picking at his ear and removing any little stumps of wax that resided within. “Mmm.. ‘Ka-” His response to the Captain was cut short by a bullet coursing through his skull. A pillar of smoke billowed out from Dimitri’s pistol, a sly smirk occupying his grubby lips. The funny thing was, Rocket wasn’t worried in the slightest. He knew how strong his Captain was, so he knew something as weak as a bullet wouldn’t faze him in the slightest. His confidence held true as the miniscule hole through Oz’s skull quickly replenished with his flesh. He bore down upon Dimitri within seconds, and Sorcha had an arrow knocked back in her bow. He show any signs of moving, as he knew just the two of them could handle the thug. Within a few hours the Tempests’ were off Karate Island, and were sailing upon the Reverse Mountain their ship; The Chasing Fortune. During their voyage into the Grand Line, Rocket had taken up his position at the ship’s wheel, helping to guide the ship towards the destination. He stayed relatively quiet throughout the entire ride as his mind wandered around negative thoughts creeping into the back of his head. “I just need to focus on Cactus Island for right now…” MADE BY VEL OF GS

The bed creaked a little as Volstagg rose and he winced at the sound. The infirmary medic would scream at him again is she found him out of bed so soon. However, that mattered little to Volstagg, he had found a collection of bountiful pirates, and he refused to lose track of them. During his match with Jolly Blue, he noticed members of the Tempest Pirates in the audience. He definitely saw Lord A. Oz and Reddick T. Rocket. They were relatively recent bounties and here they were, within Volstagg's sight.
Those flyers falling from the sky were intriguing indeed, listing coordinates and the cryptic nonsense. "I bet that the Tempest Pirates are going to follow this for some chance at increasing their hoardings. I'll sneak aboard their vessel and stop them as the pass Flotsam Island. They'll have to pass by Flotsam to reach Reverse Mountain"
Slowly, but surely, the enormous man sneaked his way from the infirmary, and the overbearing medic, and started down towards the docks. Fortunately, a description of their ship, a commandeered naval vessel, was available. Soon enough, Volstagg found himself standing in front of the Chasing Fortune, a three masted Barquentine. Looking it up and down, it matched the description closely, except for the change of colors and a masthead. "Hmph. a unicorn, eh?" Volstagg tutted "Not really intimidating, that"
Looking around, Volstagg saw an opportunity where no one was viewing him, and he stole aboard. "I certainly cannot take these people in a fight, they outnumber me far too heavily. I need to be subtle" Slipping below decks, Volstagg found a variety of rooms and bunks. "I should stay away from anything that could be considered a sleeping area, but still, anything to stay hidden until we near Flotsam"
Stealing his way to the lowest levels of the Chasing Fortune, Volstagg finds himself in a cavernous storage area. The room itself is sparsely littered with supplies shoved against the corners, and what appear to be flannel sails folded in the center of the cargo area. "Odd. I wouldn't think flannel would make good sailing material" Volstagg pondered "Of course. Silly me. They have a giant for a crew member. This is his room. I bet no one stores anything important in the corner barrels and crates"
Carefully opening crate after crate, Volstagg empties one crate by filling others. He then seats himself inside the crate and waits patiently for the ship to set sail. "No one will see this plan coming. I will alert the Aesir and disable the boat. Then fame from capturing these upstart pirates will show the entire South Blue what the might of Volstagg is capable of. I am a genius" Within five minutes, Volstagg was snoozing soundly.

Karate Island… The name itself now sent her head to spinning. How had it all turned out this way!? One moment she and Sorcha were escaping from a bounty hunter and the next they were dragged into the most bizarre crew she’d ever heard of. A giant. A man made of wind. It was so far out of everything that she’d known. Yet she couldn’t help but forcibly swallow down the tiny bubble of excitement that had begun to grow. These people had accepted her for the time being and though she knew she would likely have to break away in the future, she felt like she deserved to have at least a little fun by now.
As she was lost in her musing, the pamphlets fluttered down from the sky. One landed right on her face and she swiped at it, pulling it away far enough so that she might read it. There was a message coupled with some numbers that were clearly coordinates. “Huh. Sounds like a trap to me,” she murmured thoughtfully to herself. After giving it one more read, she dropped the paper. Positioned as she were down and away from the stands, it wasn’t until the sharp sound of a pistol firing that she was aware of what was transpiring between the Tempest Captain and some guy.
Staring wide-eyed and open-mouthed up into the stands, she was just in time to see a number of things happen all at once. Oz reformed (that was going to take some getting used to), Sorcha vaulted the distance and knocked the assailant flat on his back, an arrow at the ready, and the blonde crew-member also closed in. Tanis started up the steps and arrived just in time to catch the news. They were fated to travel to the mystery coordinates and it looked like they were going to wring some information out of the fool who’d thought he could handle the Tempest Captain.
Everything was a blur after that. They gathered anything they needed and made for the ship. Upon reaching it, she had to admit that she was impressed. She’d been expecting something less… massive. Then again, they had a giant on board so some dingy little caravel wouldn’t have worked. Sucking in a deep breath, she squared her shoulders and mentally prepared herself. Reverse Mountain couldn’t be all that difficult, could it?
Hours later and they were well on their way. The weather had gone from clear to stormy faster than one might expect but she’d been prepared, even excited. Wind whipping her hair and rain pounding the decks; this was amazing. She even gave a brief shout of joy when the storm first began. Foul weather might be another man’s bane but to her it was a balm. It seemed a living thing to her, complete with its own temperaments and behaviors.
She stood slightly behind and to the left of the helm which was currently being manned by the one she’d come to know as Rocket. Feeling a bit reckless for once, she decided to strike up a conversation- or at least, attempt to. “How long have you been with, er, what’s his name… Oscar? No, Oz!” she asked. There wasn’t much navigating to do at the moment. The stream had them in its teeth and wouldn’t likely let go until it was finished with them. She remained alert however, to the slightest changes in sea or sky.

Now I know what I believe inside. Now, it's my time. I'll do what I want 'cause this is my life. here, right now. I'll stand my ground and never back down. I know what I believe inside. Cease the moment. The winds rushed the side of the vessel on Route to Reverse Mountain. The sun peaked from behind the sadden clouds being slowly in cased by there growing rage from the enormous swelling that was about to downpour on the young adventurers. Dimitri, tied up on the deck along with the rest of his crew, his face battered and bruised from the crew's 'conversation', sat tied to the mast as the ship approached Reverse Mountain. Stooped down in front of the men, who were petrified from the crew's monstrous strength, though it was just a situation that they were very weak, the red headed pirate doctor asked for surety about the pirates confession. "So run this by me again... What's going on Cactus Island!?" Oz said slightly yelling, though it wasn't in anger, just to mess with the pirates, shooting a grin to his side with a chuckle quickly before they could noticed. "C-C-C- Calm down! Like I said... I have no clue what's going on Cactus Island, some weird cloaked guy just came around handing out flyers saying if we could get more crews towards the island he'd reward us 100.000.000 Beli... Like I said... I couldn't turn that down." Dimitri said slightly with dollar signs in his thoughts, which slowly turned to despair as he assessed the situation. Gushing up towards the mast of the ship peak, Oz now firmly sat in the look out, his hand grasped against his Gunbai, "If the weather gets to rough... I might need to use my winds to combat the brunt of the force... However... If my speeds aren't fast enough, I could rip this ship apart.... 40% chance..." Oz thought, reaching into his pocket to grab some licorice he'd bought back on Karate Island. "OI! HULL! You wouldn't mind going for a ride would you?" Oz said towards the giant grinning. The winds picked up and the rain begun, with that, so did the storm. ▇ Rocket ▇ angryscience ▇ Volstagg▇ Sorcha▇ Tanis Siekert ▇ ooc notes: Sorry for the late reply. Life caught me but I'm back! Karate Island had been a wonder. The action, the adventure, everything Hullgrimm had set out to experience. He decided to commit his adventures to memory and tell these stories upon his triumphant return to Elbaf.
The arena roared and Hullgrimm stood in the center, dressed in an outlandish outfit. His normal reserved attire was replaced with a full Luchador costume. His tunic was switched out for Woad war-paint covering his chest and arms. His leather boots and gloves are all that remained of his old outfit. His rust red pants were gone. He wore a bright blue pair of tasseled short shorts with an ocean pattern on them. Crowning his outrageous outfit was his mask. Fashioned in the form of a West Blue Island Whale. His beaming grin gave the adorable whale mask a aura of whimsy, especially with his bright red beard poking out from beneath.
"UUUUAAAAAH!The great Jolly Blue can't hear you!" He shouts putting a hand to his ear, doing his best to pump the crowd. The audience, screams and shouts in glee, responding to his grandiose gestures. His flair for the seemingly impossible had won them over. "DURAHAHAHA! OH YEAH! That's more like it!" He guffaws as fliers begin to fall from news coos above.
He swears he could hear lord Oz from the audience for a moment, but is distracted by the roar of the crowd and the bits of paper fluttering down from above. "What's this? Confetti? Oh course! what better way to send off a beloved arena competitor! DURAHAHAHA!" He booms. "I have to return to the seas now!" He gives a giant bow, and leaps into the air. "Himmel Dans"
He kicks off the air itself. A thunderous boom echoing with each step upon the sky. "Remember! While Giants are rulers of the mountains, Lucha are Kings of the Sky! DURAHAHAHAAAA!" He Soars straight into the air, using the sun to cover his exit towards the docked Barquentine, the newly christened Chasing Fortune. He slows his decent and lands within the central cargo hold the crew had gutted to allow a large enough space for Hullgrimm to live. He closed the roof and quickly changed into his normal attire.

The quickly changing currents had put the giant ill at ease. he began to have flashes of the last two storms that he had been in. The first had luckily only blown him off course and into a strange meeting with a strange girl. The second however had almost killed him. It claimed his boat, his supplies and almost killed him. he had been lucky to wash ashore upon the shores of Briss. Now he was in a larger boat, with a full crew, and a navigator to make sure the storms didn't repeat the last to attempts.
He kneeled in the center of the ship. He did his best to keep the ship heading in the right direction the only way he could. He paddled over the sides. A massive set of oars had been his newest request for the ship. Under normal conditions he could row ask if the massive Barquentine was nothing more than an oversized rowboat. The heavy winds and driving rain however, forced a different approach. He had only one oar and would paddle on either side as if he were in a canoe.
"Tanis! Captain! Lemme know if we need more speed!" He shouts over the wind as he continues to paddle, trying his best to help the boat push towards the narrow opening. "Rocket! I'm paddling blind here with the sails open! Lemme know left or right!" He shouts to the helmsman.
"OI! HULL! You wouldn't mind going for a ride would you?" Captain Oz shouts at hullgrimm. The giant visible pales at the suggestion. "I would much rather stay in the boat, if it is all the same..." he replies sheepishly. "but, if you think it is needed and it will help... I guess I can..."

With everyone in the crew working their tails off getting through the storm, the little redhead remained up on the yards of the mast. Sorcha's small stature allowed her to easily traverse the narrow beams that held up the sails, and she absolutely loved being up so high, it was like she was on top of the world. Even when she was working the sails and riggings, the gunner couldn't help the glorious feeling. Now, with the storm swirling all around and rain soaking her to the bone, Sorcha still had a grin plastered on her face. With a simple yell from any of her crewmates she could adjust the sails in mere minutes with little issue. In the hours that they had been sailing before the storm hit the woman had taken the time to get to know the sail riggings, masts, and yards on the ship so there would be little to no problems on their immediate journey. Plus it had been some time since she had been on a vessel larger than her small skiff. The giant, Hullgrimm if she remembered correctly, was paddling the boat forward, steering it as best he could with the storm. "Tanis! Captain! Lemme know if we need more speed! Rocket! I'm paddling blind here with the sails open! Lemme know left or right!" the man's yelling did not go unheard by Sorcha as she maneuvered high up in the air even above Hull's head. "Oi Hull! If you need the sail moved so you can see just give the word! I can adjust it for you no problem!" the redhead shouted back to the giant after he spoke. The sails were her domain after all. "If the weather gets to rough... I might need to use my winds to combat the brunt of the force... However... If my speeds aren't fast enough, I could rip this ship apart.... 40% chance..." the gunner hadn't even seen Oz as he made his way to the look out position on the main mast. She hadn't really paid any mind as the Captain had interrogated their hostages since she was keeping her focus on the sails, but by the four blues she thought she would have noticed him moving to the look out above her! "OI! HULL! You wouldn't mind going for a ride would you?" "I would much rather stay in the boat, if it is all the same...but, if you think it is needed and it will help... I guess I can..." Sorcha couldn't help but cast a blank look between Oz's grinning face and Hull's sheepish reply. What in the blues was the captain planning to do? "...What do you need of the sail's for this crazy idea of yours Captain?" after a moment of pause the gunner had a crazy grin of her own plastered on her face. Whatever it was that Oz was planning, she was more than ready for a fun challenge. | wc:: 494 | | I HAVE MY MOTHER'S DREAMS, MY FATHER'S EYES, YOU CAN'T TAKE THAT FROM ME, DON'T EVEN TRY. | |

Volstagg awoke with a jostle as he felt the boat moving. "Excellent. They have started. Now, I can wait and strike at the perfect moment" Volstagg chuckled to himself as he lifted the barrel lid only slightly and peered out.
Beside him were a massive pair of legs, but, due to their angle, it appeared that their Jolly Blue friend was kneeling, not sitting. Volstagg slipped out of his hiding place and replaced the lid. Ever so slowly, he sneaked his way to the upper decks. Once he made it above the water line, he peered out of a porthole.
"Now, I will be able to see how far we are from Flotsam Island" Volstagg looked through the porthole. He pulled his face out, pondered for a moment, looked back again. That's when he screamed "By the Aesir! How fast does this vessel move!? We've already passed Flotsam Island!"
Volstagg, now severely worried, considered what he knew about the crew. "Uhm, Let's see now. There is the Giant, Jolly Blue. He seemed nice enough. I don't think he'll throw me overboard. The captain though...he's got a bounty, but I don't remember murder on the list. Hopefully, the rest of the crew listens to him. There is also that Rocket fellow. For the life of me, and it may very well be my life" Volstagg gulped "I don't remember what he is wanted for. Hopefully, the captain takes pity on a poor Devil Fruit user, I remember that he is a Devil Fruit User as well, and doesn't get rid of me before we reach the first...grand...line..."
Volstagg's eyes widened to saucers. "We're heading for the Grand, the Grand.." he wheezed a few times, trying to say the whole phrase together. "I, um, wow. We're heading for the Grand Line" Volstagg stood perfectly still for a moment, but only for a moment "ADVENTURE! Challenges await! A chance of a lifetime! How could I wish for anything more!?"
Vosltagg rushed up, pausing at the door to the top of the deck. Right, Volstagg thought to himself, I'm still a stowaway. Hmmm, we are heading for Reverse Mountain. Perhaps I should offer assistance with that. I can repair the boat if it is damaged, and I should be able to prevent some damage from occuring in the first place, thanks to my Munch Munch power. Resolved to help ensure that the boat did not sink, Volstagg burst through the door and onto the top deck "Greetings, Tempest Pirates! It is your lucky day, for I, the Great Volstagg, have decided to assist you in your ascent up Reverse Mountain!"

Cease the moment. As the giant male burst through the floor boards of the ship, the colossal entrance he made was easily drowned in the sounds of the bombing thunder. The ship was now sent in a whirlwind due to the increasing winds and violent currents. "Hull Hold on Tight! Wahhh...." Oz said, stopping momentarily to acknowledge the intruder. "Umm.... Volgy is it!? Hold on tight, it's about to create rough. Sorcha! Tighten the sails... I'll try to keep my winds not too violent." Oz said grinning shifting into his tangibility form. "Vacuum Sphere plus Dust Devil" Oz thought. Encasing his body around the ship, Oz whipped the large vessel off the seas and surging towards Reverse Mountain. Crashing into the deck of the ship from the whiplash into human form, Oz clutched his rib-cage from the impact, however, the crisis with the current was slightly averted. However, the time for celebration was not yet. "Everyone hold on... the current's might get rougher from here!" Oz shouted. Clutching onto the mast of the ship, using his wind to continuously encase the ship, the giant vessel shot up the waterfall, carrying Oz and the crew, and the new stowaway towards the heavens. ▇ Volstagg ▇ Tanis Siekert ▇ Sorcha ▇ angryscience▇ ooc notes: Come People...
